In our class we have all been working on an oral presentation called a day to remember!
My oral presentation is going to be about Lola Montez. She is well known for dancing in the Gold Fields in the 1850-1860. I am a little bit nervous but also excited to see how it turns out about doing a presentation in front of everyone.
After the horrible disaster at Fiji our school had a fundraiser to help. In our school we earned around about $1200 as a school. The problem was we had lots of donations of supplies that they didn’t have but we didn’t have enough money, so we wrote persuasive letters to big or small companies asking for donations of money.
The persuasive techniques I used were were emotional words, rhetorical questions, repetition, simile and hyperbole. I feel really good about the writing Taya and I did, I think our letter and poster were very persuasive, This is the second persuasive letter I have written.
